5

1

Introduction — Your Free Consultation

We begin with a complimentary, no-obligation conversation. You'll share your situation, ask questions, and learn how mediation applies to your case. We'll explain timelines, costs, and what participation looks like for all parties involved.

Duration: 30–45 minutes · Format: Phone, video, or in-person

2

Preparation — Getting Ready Together

Once all parties agree to proceed, we gather relevant documents and information. Each participant receives guidance on what to expect during the session. We establish ground rules for respectful communication and set a date — in-person at our Toronto office or virtually.

You'll receive: A preparation guide and session agenda

3

Mediation Session — Structured Dialogue

In a calm, neutral environment, our accredited mediator facilitates open discussion. Each party has the opportunity to express their perspective. We identify shared interests, explore options, and work toward solutions that address everyone's core needs.

Duration: Typically 2–4 hours · Format: In-person or virtual · Confidential: Yes

4

Agreement — Putting It in Writing

When parties reach consensus, we draft a clear, detailed agreement document. Both parties review and sign. The agreement is designed to be legally sound, enforceable, and practical for everyday life.

Outcome: A signed memorandum of understanding or mediation agreement

5

Follow-Up — Ensuring Lasting Results

We don't disappear after signing. A follow-up check-in ensures the agreement is being implemented as intended. If questions or concerns arise, we're available to help clarify or facilitate adjustments.

Support: Available by phone or email post-agreement

What Makes Our Process Different

Voluntary & Confidential

Participation is always voluntary. Everything discussed in mediation is confidential and cannot be used in court.

You Stay in Control

Unlike court, where a judge decides for you, mediation puts the outcome in your hands. You craft the solution together.

Flexible Formats

In-person at our Sheppard Avenue office, virtual via video, or hybrid. Interpretation services available on request.
